“They really know what they’re doing here,” Shorehaven rehabilitation graduate Jo Rotondi smiled. “When you come in you’re a stranger. When you leave, you’ve become family.”
Rotondi recently spent four months at the health care facility, “developing a success formula for getting back home again.” “Everyone, from the therapists to the CNA’s, the nurses, activity staff, the homemakers and dining staff, maintenance, housekeeping, social workers…they all showed genuine concern for me. They worked with me to get me back home.”
Rotondi said staff went beyond care and concern. “They made me feel comfortable. They worked with my insurance company. They made the puzzles and Bingo and the ice-cream carts extra fun. Everyone went out of their way …I honestly believe I would not have gotten better if I had gone anywhere else.”
“It’s the people here,” the rehab grad nodded, packing her items for the trip home to Brookfield. “The staff are Shorehaven’s greatest asset. That extra care goes a long way. And now it’s getting me through my front door.”
