Shorehaven is marking its 85th anniversary this year, and has embraced residents, family members, staff, volunteers, corporate members and the community at large in a variety of celebratory events. Events have included staff and volunteer recognition, car and style shows, Flag Retirement Ceremony, in the Memorial Day and Independence Day Parade, and featuring campus-wide ice-cream socials for residents and staff. A special celebration took place July 11, complete with morning outdoor worship service, build-your-own cupcake and sundae bar, live entertainment, dunk tank, foam machine, bounce house, free tattoos, face painting, door prizes, spin the wheel, photo booth, Kona Ice truck, scavenger hunt and lawn games. Since 1939, Shorehaven has served as a trusted, faith-based resource for seniors. Offering a full continuum of care on the shores of Lac La Belle, the not-for-profit senior living headquarters delivers five-star care in the City of Lakes. Its mission is “Reflecting Christ’s love, we provide homes and resources for seniors.”
