They contain puzzles, a Bible, musical CD’s, grief support books, water, tea and coffee, snacks, phone chargers and tissues, all to support residents and their families in the residents’ final days of life. Shorehaven’s Service League of Volunteers wished to bring comfort in those moments of passage, providing small carts that can be wheeled bedside and within families’ reach. “We wanted families to spend time with their loved ones during these difficult times, and have ready items that could bring some solace. We recognize that families need support during this life’s transition, and quality time to spend with loved ones,” said staff Beckie Sailer. The Service League continues to fund items to enhance resident lives, from mobility chairs, pontoons, buses, shade systems, chapel furnishings, and maintenance and fitness equipment.
