Security Custodian – Full Time with Benefits
Responsible for maintaining the Shorehaven facility in a safe, sanitary condition, both interior and exterior to comply with established policies and procedures
This position will be Monday-Friday 2:00pm -10:30pm, every 4th weekend on day shift (with flexible hours from Monday-Friday of that week)
DUTIES:
Security (30%)-
- Lock and unlock doors at appropriate time, conducting a minimum of one complete round per shift.
- Complete minor maintenance repairs.
- Assist in emergency snow removal procedures.
- Communicate with charge nurse regarding safety of building and/or residents.
- Participate in positive Customer Relations and appropriate, professional behavior and attire.
- Assist as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Report malfunctions and safety hazards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Support and be loyal to Shorehaven and its Mission Statement.
Custodial (70%)-
- Assist in keeping the facility clean and free from odors, accumulations of dirt, rubbish, dust and safety hazards per State and Federal requirements.
- Set up and take down event setups and move furniture as needed.
- Understand and apply basic principles of good housekeeping and safety.
- Assist with delivering supplies to appropriate storerooms and stocking shelves.
- Assist in keeping equipment clean and in good running order.
- Assist cleaning designated outdoor areas.
- Clean stairwells.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpeted hallways.
- Clean elevators (washing walls, floor, polishing control panel and tracks)
- Assist with window washing, indoor-outdoor.
- Transfer trash to compactor and clean garbage room.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge acquired in a four-year high school, vocational school or equivalent.
- 1 or more years of related experience.
- Possess or acquire a current Wisconsin driver’s license.
- Mechanically inclined to handle minor maintenance repairs.
- Available for flexible hours with weekend rotation.
