Pedal Boat Safety:

• The best way to stay safe while using the pedal boat is always to wear a life jacket.
• Be aware of the weather, water, and your surroundings.
• Maintain Stability
  • Keep a low center of gravity when entering and exiting the pedal boat.
  • Do not stand in the pedal boat.
  • Distribute weight evenly

Before You Launch:

• Remove the cover and secure it on the kayak rack so it doesn’t blow away.
• Make sure there are two life jackets and the bungee rope in the boat.
• Put up the canopy. It is very easy to put up and take down.
• Two extra oversized life jackets are in the storage box outside the Rec Room door.

Launching the Boat:

• Users are responsible for getting the boat in the water.
• Water shoes are recommended—someone will need to wade in.
• Use the bungee rope to pull, push, or carry the boat to the water. Avoid rocks—they can damage the boat.
• Hop in and pedal away!

After Use:

• Pull the boat completely out of the water.
• Return life jackets and rope to the boat and secure the cover.
