Shorehaven has announced it has opened a newly expanded Hillside Terrace enhanced assisted living area, doubling in size its present area. The area now combines two households, offering 26 rooms on first floor of the senior living complex. The area now boasts new finishes, new dining and living areas, remodeled resident rooms, and an outdoor courtyard with new furniture.
According to Shorehaven staff, enhanced assisted living provides more supervision and more hours of care than assisted living, a smaller, more intimate environment and allows for closer proximity to the resident. The community based residential facility is meeting increased consumer demand for another level of senior care, where seniors can enjoy three meals a day (plus snacks), regular housekeeping, and assistance available 24/7. Residents may also decorate and furnish their own rooms. A nurse is also on-site 40 hours per week with on-call availability for added peace of mind.
Chief Operating Officer Bryan Polinske noted that a new partnership has been formed with Bluestone Physician Services, which brings nurse practitioner visits to the campus twice a month, “along with virtual access when a provider isn’t on site-further enhancing the care and convenience we offer.”
Hillside Terrace residents receive assistance with spa baths and showers, pastoral services, laundry services, and access to lake activities, trishaw rides and outings. Residents’ families may work with staff to develop personalized care plans. “We’re really excited about this,” said Polinske. “We are offering another progressive option to seniors who need a little extra care. We are working to positively engage our residents, offering dignity and independence, while building on Shorehaven’s stellar reputation in delivering exceptional senior care.”
