Shorehaven’s Food Service sends dozens of pounds of leftover food to the Waukesha County Food Recovery Program each year, furnishing food to the Hope Center where it feeds needy families. Food Service Director Tina H. said the food is properly cooled down and packaged according to rigid food safety guidelines. “We don’t want to throw away our food. We like to adhere to a no waste policy, reissuing our food to people who need it. It’s a better avenue for all, it’s where our food should go. We can all feel good about that.”
