Operation Christmas Child returned in force to the Shorehaven Tower community room in June. Since 1993, more than 186 million boys and girls in over 160 countries and territories have experienced joy through the power of simple shoe box gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the gospel. Residents gathered to roll hundreds of t-shirts donated by a local warehouse, to be made into jump ropes and purses, then packaged and sent to children in need. “This project connects the residents to a greater worldwide need. Our residents always want to help the less fortunate, and Operation Christmas Child offers the opportunity to do just that,” said staff Lindsey Falk.
