We’re so incredibly proud of both our senior residents and employees who are graduating high school seniors. As so many incredible young people move forward in their lives, we asked our residents to share some pearls of wisdom to share with a younger generation.
In the first of a series of posts we’ll have for you, here’s what some of our Shorehaven Tower residents had to say.
Mary Fritz – “You are graduating at a very difficult time in this country. There will be many changes. Think about your future, what you want in a job. Enjoy the job you do more than the money you think you need to make. Try to see people as people. Don’t think about their color or nationality. And most importantly, stay close to your family. They are always there for you.”
Carol Prange – “Most importantly, hear and study God’s word. Always do the right thing and not the easy thing. Be happy and work hard.”
Carol Bahr – “Be thankful for the blessings we have today. Take tomorrow as it comes, and try to accept it by putting it into God’s hands.”
Pat Durham – “Always be positive and look for the best in everybody. Be kind. Work to make the world a better place. This is the best time of your life. The world is going to be what you make it. Be accurate, and always tell the truth. Don’t blame others, owe up to your mistakes, and learn from them.”
